privnote is a simple web service where you can type some text and have a URL generated for it where it can be read. You can then send this link to anyone via IM or e-mail address.

Before sending the note, you can also tick a check box to be notified when the recipient reads it.

After the Post it! button is clicked, you will see the generated URL.

Generated Link for the note

What’s so special in this? I hear you ask. If for whatever reason, you don’t want that person to re-read the message at that URL, use privnote. Of course the recipient always has the option to copy the content when he or she views the note.

Recipient View

As soon as the recipient views the note, the sender will receive an e-mail (if notification was checked) with the subject ‘The note referred as "test" has been read’ (“test” is the note reference).
