One of the easiest ways of rounding corners of an image is to use the online image editing service called Picnik.
- a) If you want to round the corners of an image on a web page, you should get the Picnik add-on for Firefox from here. Once you have the extension installed, you can simply right click on the image and select ‘Edit Image in Picnik…’ option from the context menu. That will automatically open Picnik website in a new tab with your image ready to be edited.
b) If you would like to apply rounded corners to an existing image on your computer, visit http://www.picnik.com/ and click ‘Get from Computer’. Browse to and bring your image into Picnik. - Now go to ‘Create’ tab, click on ‘Frames’ and select ‘Rounded Edges’
- You can see that the edges of your image immediately get rounded with a default corner radius of 27 (changeable). Also you can set the background color to be the same as the color of webpage on which you intend to place the image.
- Go to ‘Save & Share’ tab and save the image to your computer or have it directly sent to image hosting sites like Flickr and Picasa.
If you would like to use Photoshop, here’s a video I prepared in the past:
