Creation of a new phrase is easy: Let’s say you are typing the word abbreviation over and over. It makes sense to create a text shortcut for that like abbr. To do so, with PhraseExpress installed simply select the text and press the in-built keyboard shortcut to create a new phrase and set abbr as your Autotext. From then on whenever you type abbr (in any program in which you can type text) and hit a space it gets automatically expanded to abbreviation.

You can now subscribe to the available channels, search for channels and create your own. Once you are subscribed to a channel, you see a link to invite others.

While creating a new SMS Channel (Channel name must have at least 8 characters) available options are: publishing by any subscriber (making it like a forum/mailing list) or only you (like a newsletter); and whether any user can subscribe or needs to be invited to do so.

Google SMS Channels is a good alternative to SMS GupShup! It’s a useful free service to keep in touch with your friends and family and other groups via SMS. The service is not completely bug-free. 1. No need to save the images first and then insert into the post you are composing. Have a screenshot or image in the clipboard? Just paste it in.
2. Image resizing. Can your blog hold only images up to 500px wide? No problem. For an image that’s wider than what can be fit in the content area of your blog, simply specify the width, 500px for example and the height will automatically be proportionally set. The thumbnail will automatically be linked to the full sized image (the link can of course be removed easily from ‘Link to’ dropdown).
   
3. Ability to specify whether the images should automatically be uploaded to your blog or to any FTP server. Hence there’s no need to upload your images separately to sites like Imageshack.

• You can insert tables, maps, tags, videos, code snippets and more.
  
• Has proxy support so you can for example, blog from your office as well.

ChromePlugins.org has released a bookmarklet which will bring the dual split view to Google Chrome.

this will enable you to create 2 side by side “panels” in Chrome in the same tab so you can browse two sites at once side by side.

To get the split view:

1. Visit http://www.chromeplugins.org/plugins/google-chrome-dual-view/ and add the bookmarklet to your browser bookmarks.
2. Click on the bookmarklet
   
3. The existing tab location will be filled by default. You can change it to the URL of the page to appear in the left side and press OK.
   
4. Then enter the URL of the page to appear in the right tab. You have the option to prevent this page from creating additional dialogs.
   

That’s it. Your existing tabs will remain intact and within a single tab, you can see both the sites like this:

Conclusion: Google Moderator seems to be a mix of Yahoo! Answers, polls, Digg and forums. If Google provides the option to place ads in the question series, it would be a nice incentive for publishers to adopt to and start using it enthusiastically.

One of the easiest ways of rounding corners of an image is to use the online image editing service called Picnik.

1. a) If you want to round the corners of an image on a web page, you should get the Picnik add-on for Firefox from here. Once you have the extension installed, you can simply right click on the image and select ‘Edit Image in Picnik…’ option from the context menu. That will automatically open Picnik website in a new tab with your image ready to be edited.
   b) If you would like to apply rounded corners to an existing image on your computer, visit http://www.picnik.com/ and click ‘Get from Computer’. Browse to and bring your image into Picnik.

   

2. Now go to ‘Create’ tab, click on ‘Frames’ and select ‘Rounded Edges’

   

3. You can see that the edges of your image immediately get rounded with a default corner radius of 27 (changeable). Also you can set the background color to be the same as the color of webpage on which you intend to place the image.

   

4. Go to ‘Save & Share’ tab and save the image to your computer or have it directly sent to image hosting sites like Flickr and Picasa.
