Snap Links add-on for Firefox 3

Snap Links Snap Links allows users to easily open multiple links in new tabs by drawing a box around them. Links can also be opened in new windows, new tabs on a new window, copied to clipboard, bookmarked or downloaded.

Set Free Reminders (even SMS) in Google Calendar

Did you know that Google Calendar provides three free ways so you can be reminded of events?

  1. Pop-up
  2. Email
  3. SMS

To get started, click on the little down arrow next to your calendar and select Notifications.

For receiving SMS reminders, click on ‘Set up your mobile phone to receive notifications’. Ensure that country is set to the right one and type in your mobile number and click on ‘Send Verification Code’ button.

You’ll then receive the code via SMS to your mobile. Enter that back in Google Calendar to complete the mobile reminders setup.

Web2book – Convert RSS feeds to HTML or RTF or PDF format

Web2book is a free program using which you can make formatted HTML, RTF, LRF or PDF files from RSS feeds, Web sites, Project Gutenberg books, Wikipedia entries, Crossword Compiler crossword, Microsoft Reader .Lit files, and other sources.

Daily updates can be scheduled to make archived copies of websites and RSS feeds.

The first thing to do after installing Web2book is to go to its options (under the Tools menu) and set the output folder.

To save a web page as HTML file:

Go to ‘Web Page’ tab, give a name for the output file and the URL of the web page. Hit ‘Go’ button.
